Hyundai KIA G4GC 2.0L Engine Problems & Reliability

When compared to older Hyundai motors, the G4GC emits more noise. There are a variety of vibrations and noises coming from the engine, much like those of diesel engines.

ADVERTISEMENTS

That’s what sets it apart from the competition.

The engine trembles at low speeds and kicks when you accelerate or a brake. Replacing the ignition coils, spark plugs, and wires should rectify the issue.

Uneven RPMs. That’s an electrical problem, and reloading the ECU should eliminate the signs.

The G4GC has lasted for an impressively long time. For a four-cylinder gasoline engine, this is quite respectable at roughly 180,000 miles (300,000 kilometres).
