TPC Deere Run course info

A Par 71 course, TPC Deere Run stretches to more than 7,200 yards, but it’s not believed to be among the most challenging courses on tour. In reality, Par 71’s are concerned with the Silvis venue. It is considered to be one of the easiest courses.

Each time the event is played, the figures for fairways that are hit and greens that are in regulation are usually higher than the average for the tour. This is because the layout is spacious, which is a good sign for those who play with a cavalier attitude or “grip it, then rip it”, as John Daly might say.

The Par 3’s, of which there are four, aren’t the most difficult according to tour standards, whereas those on the Par 5’s, are fairly easy to reach in two rounds, so the scores are usually low.

For a better example, last year, in the year that J. T. Poston was victorious, he finished with a -21 score, and the lowest winning score since 2008 was -19; therefore, expect players to be well and low this week. For a full details, please check this YouTube video Here.

The players who hit a lot of birdies are successful at the TPC Deere run. It’s as easy as that. So, look for players with good averages in birdies on tour this year, and those who can hit the green on time regularly stand a chance.

The proximity to the hole is another factor to consider, along with strokes gained when putting. People who make strokes in the green generally are happy with this course.

Maverick McNealy is the top golfer of the PGA Tour for strokes gained in putting, and Denny McCarthy is the pre-tournament favourite of many bookmakers and is ranked fourth in this area.
