Kawasaki FB460V Engine Specs
The Kawasaki FB460V is a 0.46 l (28.1 cu-in,460 cc) air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke internal combustion small gasoline (petrol) engine with a vertical shaft by Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. for general-purpose use.
The FB460V engine has an L-shaped head with two valves, a transistorized flywheel magneto ignition system, a float-type carburetor with a fixed main jet, and a mechanical governor.
The engine had a pressurized lubrication system, a semi-cyclone air cleaner with two elements, and an electric or recoil starter. Model engines with an electric starter also have a 12V-13A charging coil with a regulator.
The piston stroke is 74.0 mm (2.91 in), and the piston bore is 89.0 mm (3.5 in). The compression ratio is 6.4:1. At 3,600 rpm, the Kawasaki FB460V motor produces 12.5 HP; at 2,300 rpm, it makes 28.0 Nm (2.8 kgm, 20.1 ftlb).
