This might be the best saw ever made for a semi-professional or professional homeowner.
I live in Northern Maine and have 13 acres. Each year, I cut, split, and stack 30–40 cords of wood for my Heatmor 400/4s Outdoor boiler. The saw is very strong.
For this thing to keep cutting like a surgical tool, you need to do the following:
Every time you fill up, sharpen the chain in the field.
- Clean the two oil holes on the bar after every fill-up.
- Use 92 octane fuel 50:1 mix
- Use a pre-mix canned fuel, for the last fill-up of the year. This fuel doesn’t need any winter stabilisers because it doesn’t have ethanol.
- Use Marvel Mystery Oil or Lucas Oil Stabilizer to fog the cylinder before putting it away for the winter.
