The only difference between the 2011 and 2012 F150 5.0Ls and 6.2Ls was that they came in a few different colors of paint.
Ford decided that the powerful, high-displacement V8s in their F150s were a good thing and didn’t want to mess with it too much. Both the 5.0L and 6.2L 2012 F150s were great trucks with a lot of capability that got even better with some aftermarket performance parts and accessories.
Even though the big, bad V8 F150s don’t get as much power as their EcoBoost cousins, both of Ford’s V8s are rock-solid platforms for performance upgrades and have enough power to take you almost anywhere and do any job.
