Mini is preparing to launch the brand new Countryman in the United States, and there are significant changes to the lineup in 2025. The base and cheapest Countryman has been replaced by the Countryman S All4, which is replacing the Countryman Cooper to become the entry-level option. This upgrade brings a significant power boost and a substantial price increase.

Its 2025 Countryman S All4 starts at $39,895 with delivery and handling. To remind you, the discontinued model kicked off at $33,645 and had only 134 horsepower available. The latest model has a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine that produces 241 horsepower.

A significant improvement over the model released last year is including an all-wheel drive in the 2025 Countryman. The model 2024 had a 1.5-litre engine underneath the hood, which only sent power towards the wheels on its front. The new generation crossover is equipped with Mini’s All4 system, which features electronic control of the power distribution between the rear and front wheels by how the roads are.

If you’re looking for more performance, you must look into the top-of-the-line Countryman John Cooper Works. It debuted mid-monthly and features the most robust turbo 2.0-litre four-pot that is mated to an all-wheel drive system. The power output is 312 hp, and prices start at $47,895, including the handling and destination fees, making it considerably higher than its predecessor, which was priced at $44,795 for the 2024 model year.

Mini announces that it will begin production of the brand new Countryman S All4 for the US market in March 2024. The first models for customers should arrive the first week of May next year. Mini is also planning to follow the same launch strategy for the JCW model. In the autumn of 2024, Mini will begin deliveries of its all-electric Countryman.
