  • 401(k) Savings Plan
    The 401(k) Savings Plan is a retirement planning vehicle that provides an opportunity to benefit from pre-tax savings and firm matching contributions of 25% of the first 6% of employee’s eligible compensation that contributes to the plan. Employees can vest in the firm’s matching contribution on a graded schedule over a five-year period.
  • Retirement Wealth Builder Plan
    Wealth Builder is a retirement plan completely funded by PwC. Firm contributions to this plan are based on job level and years of service in some cases. In addition, new hires are eligible for a Wealth-Builder bonus equal to 1% of eligible compensation upon joining the firm. Employees can vest in the firm’s Wealth Builder contributions on a graded schedule over a five-year period.

  • Holidays
    The firm offers 14 paid holidays including designated national holidays, extended firm holidays, and floating holidays. The number of floating holidays that newly hired staff receive depends on their date of hire.
  • Firmwide extended holidays
    The firm provides extended firm holidays to rest and relax and is a valuable opportunity to receive paid time off without the worry of checking email or meeting client demands, other than in exceptional circumstances. The firm will provide four extended firm holidays this year around the July 4 holiday and Christmas and New Year holiday.
  • Vacation
    Employees accrue vacation time of between three weeks (15 workdays) and one month (22 workdays) per year, based upon staff classification and length of service with PwC.
  • Family & Personal Sick Time
    To assist employees in maintaining work-life quality, the firm’s policy provides an unprescribed number of sick days for all US full-time and part-time staff scheduled to work at least 1,000 hours a year. Employee’s normally will be paid a full salary when absent for five or fewer consecutive days due to illness, injury, or a family member’s illness, injury, medical treatment, or need for preventive care. The policy allows paid time off to care for a sick child, parent, spouse, or same-sex domestic partner.

Caregiver support

PwC believes employee can be a great parent and caregiver and a great professional. Their programs, benefits, and supportive culture are designed with that belief in mind

  • Parental Leave
    Eligible new parents receive, within the first year from birth or adoption/foster placement, eight weeks of paid parental leave. An additional two weeks is available to new parents with more than one new child on the same date, and/or an additional six weeks to staff who consider themselves to be the primary caregiver of a child newly placed for adoption or born via surrogate.
  • Phased Return to Work
    Parents have the option to work 60% of hours, at full-time pay, for an additional four weeks immediately following paid parental leave.
  • Paid Family Care Leave
    Eligible staff receives four weeks of Paid Family Care Leave to care for certain family members with serious health conditions.
  • Family-building Support
    A number of programs and a comprehensive website are available for those building their families, returning to work after a baby, or caring for loved ones including an adoption and surrogacy reimbursement program, a fertility support program, parental leave as well as back-up child care centers and reimbursements.
  • Personal & Family Sick time
    To assist employees in maintaining work-life quality, the firm’s policy provides an unprescribed number of sick days for all US full-time and part-time staff scheduled to work at least 1,000 hours a year. You normally will be paid a full salary when absent for five or fewer consecutive days due to your illness, injury, or a family member’s illness, injury, medical treatment, or need for preventive care.
  • Paid Family Caregiver Leave
    Eligible staff can receive their regular pay during an approved leave for up to four weeks per 12-month rolling year. Leave can be to care for a family member with a serious health condition, care for a covered servicemember with a serious illness or injury, or for military leave due to a qualifying exigency.
  • Childcare and Eldercare Resources
    Staff is provided access to a free membership to Sittercity, to assist in locating childcare, eldercare, pet care, and more, through our program administered by Bright Horizons.
  • Mentor Moms
    PwC Mentor Moms program is designed to connect new mothers or mothers-to-be with another PwC mom who has already experienced juggling motherhood and career at the firm. The goal is to provide newer mothers with a connection to someone who can provide guidance, insights, or just a sounding board as they make important decisions about their career. Each new mom who participates is paired with a mentor, who then offers support and guidance over a period of 18 months.

Student Loan Paydown benefit

PwC is always seeking unique ways to improve the financial wellness of their people. PwC wants to make sure to get your career off to a financially healthy start with Student Loan Paydown benefit.

PwC is the first in the industry to offer this type of benefit. 

As a participating associate or senior associate, PwC’s SLP benefit will pay up $1,200 a year towards your student loan! Over time, this may help to reduce student loan principal and interest obligations by as much as $10,000 and shorten loan payoff by up to three years.

  • Emergency backup childcare reimbursement program
    The program is designed to assist staff in managing backup care needs so they don’t have to miss time from work. Staff receives reimbursement for up to $1000 of backup care costs per year when their typical child care or elder care falls through. (Up to $2,000 during FY21.)
  • Mothers’ rooms
    Most large offices have set aside rooms for nursing moms to pump to help facilitate their transition back to work.
  • Nursing Moms’ Program
    This program provides prenatal information and ongoing lactation support. Free breast pumps are available for those in PwC’s High, Middle, and Low Deductible Plans (those not enrolled can get breast pumps through their health plan).
  • Full Circle program
    This unpaid, voluntary arrangement is designed for high-performing PwC professionals who are separating from the Firm to devote themselves to full-time caregiving. The program allows participants-for a period of up to five years to stay connected with their PwC colleagues, by providing them with a “coach” while they are gone and take advantage of the numerous available Firm resources, such as certain training and events.
  • Backup childcare centers
    PwC has contracted with Emergency Childcare Backup Centers at over 250 centers in the US where partners and staff can take their child if regular childcare service is not available that day.
  • Dependent care flexible spending account
    A Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account allows our staff to set aside pretax dollars to pay for dependent care for qualified family members. The account can be used for daycare, education, or eldercare.
  • Nanny assistance
    Staff can get personalized help with recruiting, vetting, and selecting a nanny with $300 savings on the placement fee and a 10% discount on the hourly rates through Bright Horizons.
  • Family and individual sick days
    Not only can the staff use sick days for their own illness, but they can also use unlimited sick days to care for their sick child, parent our spouse/domestic partner.
  • Disability Caregivers Network (DCN)
    A network for all PwC professionals seeking to promote an inclusive work environment for caregivers of individuals with special needs or disabilities.
