The John Deere 1050 tractor is available with either a 4X4 MFWD 4WD or a 4X2 2WD chassis, depending on your requirements. Whether you can choose a 4X2 or a 4X4  model, they both come with the same engine.

John Deere 1050 Tractor Review

This is a Yanmar 3 cylinder engine model It has a total displacement of 1.7 liters. The engine is turbocharged and has a dual paper air filter provided to filter dust and other particulate matter from the air input before it enters the engine.

A 6.2-liter liquid cooling system stops the Yanmar engine from overheating. The engine powers the wheels through a transmission that gives it 8 speeds going forwards and 2 when it’s reversing. The top speed of the John Deere 1050 tractor is 20.1 kph.

It is not designed with a cab as standard. Rather it has a 2 post-ROPS (rollover protection system), so if you do plan on using it in areas with severe weather, you may consider either another machine that does have a cab, or maybe you could make your own.

Bought my JD 1050 back in march and just started having problems getting it in gear, its as if the clutch is not disengaging so it just grinds, not sure what all the functions of the three point are so i try different things and it seems i did something that allowed it to go into gear last time but nothing this time. sincerely confused
