The LTX 1040 is an automatic lawnmower, meaning there is no requirement for gear changes. Instead, you must press down harder on the forward or reverse pedal to speed up or slow down.
It has the same maximum top speed of 8.4 kph (5.2 mph), whether it’s traveling forwards or reverse.
The Cub Cadet LTX1040 motor starts with a key start transmission, and once the engine is running, a 15 amp alternator recharges it.
Its fuel tank can carry enough gasoline for many hours of continuous operation, holding 12.5 liters (3.3 US gallons) of gas.
